Sandoval's Companions

Chalk it up to our love for the character everyone else might think is flawed. Our favorite character from Earth: Final Conflict is Sandoval, attaché to the North American Companion and constant thorn in the sides of resistance-minded humans. A good and faithful servant to the Companions, Sandoval is the real hero of Earth: Final Conflict.

Ronald SandovalRONALD SANDOVAL
Ronald Sandoval is an FBI Special Agent assigned as permanent liaison and bodyguard to Da'an, the American Companion. A brilliant Machiavellian operative who views the rest of the world with a certain arrogant disdain, he is also an Implant. Like Boone, he has received a CVI, but his is fully functional. Thus all his decisions, emotions and thoughts are directed toward the protection of the Companions and the furtherance of their ends.

EPISODE REVIEWS
This section will of course expand over time, but we'll start with this week's episode, The Devil You Know. Sandoval's tireless investigation enables him to establish Blanchard as the thief of the valuable Taelon-engineered weapon, and his devotion to his job is clearly shown when he orders his men to tear apart Blanchard's hideout in searching for clues.

Our least favorite episode is of course Sandoval's Run, in which we learn a little more about Sandoval's past and meet his estranged wife, DeeDee. Sandoval's unseemly display of emotion can be explained by the fact that his CVI was malfunctioning, as is his shocking breach of protocol in stealing a Taelon shuttle and kidnapping DeeDee from the mental hospital in which she is being cared for in her unfortunate state. Fortunately, in the end, Sandoval's CVI is restored and he is allowed to go back to the service of the Companions.
